Andrew is our winner

Congratulations to Andrew. With Butler’s almost win, he is the champion of our bracket contest.

And then there were three…

With one game left, there are three brackets left in the running. If Duke wins, Andrew will be our winner. If Butler wins and the point total for the game is more than 162, Stephanie will be our winner. If Butler wins and the point total for the game is less than 162, Mr. Carroll will be our winner.

Only 6 Left Standing

I checked out the brackets a little more closely this morning and found that only six still have a chance to win the contest. Here are the possibilities:

• If Duke and Butler win on Saturday and then Butler wins on Monday, then Mr. Carroll and Stephanie will be tied and it will all come down to who wins the tie breaker (total points in the championship game) and either way Stephanie is the teen with the most points
• If Duke and MSU win on Saturday and MSU wins on Monday, then Stephanie will win and obviously be the teen with the most points
• If Duke wins the championship, Andrew is the winner and obviously be the teen with the most points
• If West Virginia wins the championship, Chris is the winner and Briane is the teen with the most points
• If West Virginia wins on Saturday and gets beat on Monday, I am the winner and Briane is the teen with the most points

So (if my calculations are right), it looks like Stephanie, Briane or Andrew will be having lunch with Mrs. G or me.

Updated Standings

Last night there was some great basketball. Thanks to Syracuse, Hunter (who thinks he’s cool) is now out of contention. Sorry man. And Andrew now appears to be setting pretty good. He has 3 of his 4 Final Four teams still in it and has the highest possible score of anyone. I won’t say anything about the bottom of the standings…you can just check them out for yourself.

Well, the first two rounds are complete and, by my count, only 10 of you still have your champion in the tournament. Briane, Schmitz and Stephanie have been in the top 4 ever since the first four games were played and Susan and Katy love the basement so much that they just decided to stay there for a while.

Now that the first round is completed, here are the current standings. The top three haven’t changed at all from yesterday, but Katy did move up a few spots from the cellar.

We Have a Winner!

Well, march Madness has come and gone and so has our bracket contest. Schmitty ended up on top, but he can’t win the prize. Hunter was next in line, but since I filled out his bracket for him…he can’t win the prize either. So, our winner (behind Schmitty, Mrs. G, me, Hunter and Pastor Wagner) is Susan. For the first time ever, Mrs. G beat me in the contest…guess I’ll have to guess harder next year. And if you want to know about the picture on the left you’ll just have to ask Susan and Stephanie.
